Security Threat/risk In Lagos Nigeria. Public Service Announcement. by dangotejnr: 9:01am On Nov 20, 2020
As a resident and bonafide Lagosian, and a citizen of Nigeria, i can never sit idly and watch violent criminals, home invaders/robbers, kidnappers destroy the city i live in, and my country in general I write this piece because of the alarming rate of robbery, attacks and killings in Lagos, largely in part because of the absence of the police. I think for now, the army commanders should be given more patrol utility vehicles, so they can fill in the empty gap the police abdication from duty has left, they can not sit in their barracks while citizens are under attack. Areas like Alpha beach road axis is a danger zone, because of the beach and large swathes of ghetto in the area, there are some 'abandoned' storied buildings facing Alpha beach that are fully occupied by armed robbers and cultists, a source who stays there said, the boys there brandish guns openely. Most of the armed robbers terrorizing people of igbo efon and Alpha beach road axis come from this ghetto, conniving with some so called omonile, who in reality, are peasants whose parents gave birth to, while working for, or under the real omoniles, hence they feel comfortable to burgle homes and rob/rape, cos of the long time they have spent in the environment. Rigorous patrols must be done by crack mobile police units, well armed with bullet proof vests, the trouble routes from bonny camp to ibeju lekki/Epe area are, Lekki beach road, where jaiande estates is, it is a den of cultists, robbers and thieves, another notorious route is Alpha beach road, down to the end, where silicone valley is, our NGO have receieved more than a hundred reports on murder, armed home invasion, street robberies etc, just this week a lady was raped and robbed while sleeping in her house by 2am, on Silicone valley estate street, Atlantic palm beach hotel street, down to red hotel, on Alpha beach road, the main suspect is the omonile, living in ghettos and shanties. Anywhere close to the coast or beach is a danger zone, hence authorities must place squads around those areas. Military intervene in internal security, to restore safety of citizens and their property, and law and order. The navy should patrol the Lagoon rigorously, Lagos state government must finance and deploy a robust coast guard unit. Navy personnels should help to secure water ways and patrol areas close to lagoons and waters. Ado road, Alpha beach road, Badore road, Lekki beach road, Abraham Adesanya road, Elekon roads, and Epe axis end of the coast/lagoon should be patrolled by OP Mensa and Navy patrol teams, because of the high calibre fire and manpower needed for these violent armed robbers and gangs, who oftrn use the coastlines for shelter and escape route. Gangs can gang up here, if allowed to fester and carry out large raids of elite homes on estates on adjoining Chevron, Idado estate, and Osapa areas, as a security analyst, government must enter into the ghettos in the aforementioned areas, raid, get information on how to collect the guns from them, We must act now.#sanwoolu# #CPlagosstate#
