The crisis rocking the Save Nigeria Group (SNG) took a new dimension yesterday with the suspension of Pastor Tunde Bakare, Mr. Yinka Odumakin and Malam Salihu Lukman from the group.

Co-ordinator of Lawyers of Conscience, Benedict Ezeagu, in company of the Secretary General of the Conference of Nigeria Political Parties (CNPP), Willy Ezugwu, told journalists in Abuja that the trio refused to be cautioned after series of warning to stop activities that are inimical to the objectives of the SNG.

Ezeagu said the suspension order stands till the proper constitution of the organization’s leadership structure and urged Barrister Femi Falana to convene a meeting of all stakeholders of the SNG within two weeks.

He accused the three of meeting with some politicians and presidential aspirants and negotiating, using the group’s name, to become their running mates promising to either register SNG as a political party or to collapse the group’s structure to the aspirants’ parties.

He said, “The three were reported to have met with the former EFCC chairman, Malam Nuhu Ribadu, and have also met with some other politicians.”

The three were also reportedly in support of Goodluck Jonathan’s presidential ambition, while the majority members of the group want it to remain non-partisan.

A little dip into history every now and then breeds robust health in the system. grin

Ezeagu said there is nothing to show for the time President Jonathan had spent in office apart from “replicating the Abacha era when mushrooms of groups and associations were formed, spending tax payers money to drum support for his presidency.”

Assuming he got fooled into believing GEJ was "Fresh Air" at that time, It's safe to guess Bakare now agrees with Ezeagu's observation. . . wink

Time to cast PDP into oblivion.

PDP, please try harder. SNG suspended them in August 2010 according to your post yet they visited Goodluck to tell him they were not happy with his regime. AND oga GEJ tried to bribe them with 50k dollars.

Abeg try another line.
