The car is clean but the issue is with the the year the car was cleared. My advice, go with a very good mechanic to inspect it. And someone you trust. if certified you can go ahead and collect it. But make sure you trust the mechanic.

Your vin check shouldn't have been to check if it was Nigerian used. You should have checked for the history of the car is usa, the maintenance, if it was involved in a previous accident, title changes, number of owners and the date it was shipped or auctioned off from the usa/canada.
