The White Paper indicting Mr. Amaechi in a corruption investigation. The report places the value of fraudulent dealings by Amaechi as governor at $400 million (N112 billion). The paper also indicts Mr. Tonye Cole, managing director of Sahara Energy Plc, for questionably dealings with the Rivers government during Amaechi’s tenure.

Mr. Cole is named in the questionable sale of four gas turbines belonging to the Rivers State government and the 40-year concessioning deal of Olympia Hotel for the sum of $86,250 per year. In the document, Mr. Cole’s company, NG-Power HPS Limited is indicted for receiving a payment of $53 million as repayment for a non-existent loan from the Rivers State Government.

Amaechi is also indicted in the corrupt disbursement of N2 billion designated for Agric Credit loans.

The commissioner for information in the state, Emma Okah, said in a statement on Monday that Mr Amaechi, who was the governor of the state at the time, sold off the power stations to Sahara Energy, owned by a billionaire businessman from the state, Tonye Cole, towards the end of his administration.

Mr Okah said the then administration allegedly used the proceeds – N112 billion – to fund the political activities of the All Progressives Congress (APC) which Mr Amaechi is its leader in the state.

Rivers have been begging EFCC and ICPC to act on the report. Just the same way Dapa Apara was begging EFCC to probe Alpha Beta for the N100 billion fraud in Lagos state.

Same way Nigerians begged EFCC to arrest Ganduje after he received $5 million bribe. Nigeria is the only country corruption is legal.

EFCC and ICPC are refusing to do their job. That is why Nigeria slipped 12 places under Transparency International Corruption Index.

Inspiration from seeing a better Nigeria when the youths take over. Buhari and Tinubu can rule for 100 years and the country will still remain a failed state.

Don't worry when the youths take over even if it takes 20 years the report will be revisited. It stated facts, he can continue to hide under the umbrella or the broom for now.
