Multichoice takes its place as one of the behemoths of Nigerian and African media. Of late, this status is partly owed to the success of the Big Brother franchise while Showmax, its streaming platform gains traction. As an indication of this, it has been announced that Big Brother Naija Season 5 winner, Lekan Agbeleshe aka Laycon, will star in Showmax’s first-ever Nigerian Original, I Am LAYCON, premiering in February 2021. Am LAYCON is set to premiere exclusively on Showmax in February 2021. Among others, upcoming Showmax Originals include Jahmil X.T.
