The truth is that the event was held at Rivers State Government House currently occupied by Gov. Nyesom Wike who is political arch-enemy to his predecessor Rotimi Amaechi. So what Amaechi did by not attending is pure demonstration of wisdom geared towards allowing participants focus on the needs of Niger Deltans rather on Wike-Amaechi political dog fight. He should be commended rather than maligned.
