Fantastically corrupt Niger Delta Governors trying to cover up for failure. The Niger Delta states have received the highest allocation since 1999 with nothing to show for it.
Niger Delta has received thrillions of naira from the 13% derivation and allocation to NDDC. And not one city in the Niger Delta can rival Abuja, travel to Warri,Benin City,Uyo,Yenogoa and you will shocked at the underdevelopment and massive poverty in those states.

Recently,Gambari and the presidential delegation had met with governors and leaders of the South-South geopolitical zone in Port Harcourt, the Rivers State capital, on Tuesday.

At the meeting, the South-South leaders including the Rivers State governor demanded the restructuring of the country in line with the principle of true federalism, saying it will guarantee peace, security and stability in the country.

Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike, has urged the President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retd.), to prove to Nigerians that he is ready to do the people’s requests.

The governor said the President will set the country ‘on fire’ by not implementing some of the requests voiced out by leaders during the recent discussions with the presidential delegation led by the Chief of Staff to the President, Ibrahim Gambari.

The real criminals are the Hausa Fulanis. They give Niger Delta region crumbs to share, while they stack our money in the North.

Niger Delta region can't afford to feed the whole nation anymore.

It's time to control our God given wealth 100%

Point of correction, the so-called south-south does not and will not equate to Niger Delta. There is intellectual difference between south-south of Nigeria and Niger Delta. The above post showed again most Nigerians are intellectually lazy.

I don't care who are the "real thieves" if Niger-Delta have resource control they will not be disturbing the Federal Government because only the State government is there to disturb.

Tell FG to give up resource control if they don't want to be blamed anymore.

Why is Abuja better than any State in Niger Delta?

What is Kano and Kaduna contributing to the commonwealth to receive better attention than Niger Delta States?

I can't recall when Kaduna and Kano started receiving 13% oil derivative.

Was there anything like Northern State development commission?

Which attention is FG given Kano and Kaduna beside normal allocation?
13% derivation, ministry coupled with allocation but have nothing to show. I really pity those tht always blame FG for their woes when their state governors are as cruel as Pharaoh

Both the FG and SS Governors are the caused of the under development in Nigeria today. However, there's need for the FG to give room for resource control.

It's obvious that Nigeria in it's current state is unsustainable

In Truth if Nigeria is restructured a lot of states will suffer

The niger Delta states will be too wealthy and it will push most of nigerias population to that region

The only people that truely do not want restructuring are northerners

If you were calm enough to understand the post before throwing in tribalism into the mix, you would have probably understood the Op. What the Op meant was upon all the money collected by states in the Niger Delta, they are still are not the most developed region but you just threw in the tribalism card without reading it properly.

Yoruba are so fixated on Niger Delta and crude oil. This is the major source of their fear of standing as country without other Nigerians.
