Nasaraw state Governor Abdullahi Sule has given an update on the manhunt for killers of State Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, Philip Shekwo, Insidenaija reports.

Sule who gave the update while hosting the national leadership of the Trade Union Congress Women Commission at the Government House in Lafia on Saturday November 28, said three of the suspects were killed on Friday November 27 by military operatives in Loko area of the state while nine other suspects were also arrested during the operation.

The Governor also disclosed that security operatives recovered four number of AK47 from the suspects killed in Loko.

In his words: “Three suspects, linked to the murder of the state APC chairman, were killed on Friday by military operatives in Loko, with nine other suspects also linked to the murder of the late Chief Shekwo arrested.

“The military is not taking it lightly with these criminals. We are facing a few security challenges in the state but the security agencies have not rested.

“If we have the resources, we will put all our resources to ensure that we protect the lives and property of our people."

Insidenaija had previously reported that, Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State, has reiterated his administration's committent to identify behind the killing of perpetrators behind of the state Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Mr. Philip Tatari Shekwo, in the state.

This was contained in a statement signed by Mr. Ibrahim Addra, the Chief Press Secretary to governor Abdullahi Sule, on Sunday, and made available to Insidenaija in Lafia, the Nasarawa state capital.
