No. The debt of a debtor does not die with the debtor.

Generally, when a debtor dies the estate of the deceased debtor is responsible for paying the debt. The estate of the dead debtor is total property, money, debt and resources of a deceased person at the time of his death and after his death.

It is immaterial that the deceased died with or without a will, because in either case, creditors are given priority. It is only after the debts of the deceased have been paid off that the beneficiaries or persons who have an interest in the estate of the deceased will be considered.

Any debt owed by a person when they are alive can be recovered from his estate after his death.

The duty of a creditor is tht of vigilance and promptness.
