The value of an area is the location. Ebutemetta is the corridor linking Mainland with Island. From Ebutemetta, the Island is easily accessible, Ikeja is easily accessible via the 3rd Mainland, so also is Apapa. That's what makes Ebutemetta a big deal.

One day, long ago, I was in London with my wife. It was November, and a Bank holiday. That means everybody was at-home and the road was empty. For the first time in my life, I drove a car around London on their road. So I could see the road very,very,very well.
Their road has patch-patch all over. I couldn't believe it. A whole London!?.

But we don't normally notice because there's always heavy traffic blocking, distracting your attention..
But that day sha, we saw it .

As the time this place was reigning, your autonomous place was full of thatched leaves houses. This is the only reason we hardly find brown roof in your locality. What would have been brown roofs of today were indeed thatched roofs that have been burned down with fire.

Spent over 30 years living in Ebute Metta. Never 1 day did I watch football at any viewing center. Never one day in my entire life have I entered viewing center to watch match. Occasionally, maybe hotel or restaurant, but viewing center, is a no no for me. Me I no dey like to dey hang around viewing centers watch match. Some people love it, but not me, u will never find me there.
