After graduating from the higher institution, and in Nigeria my country, finishing the NYSC, the common thing that comes to the mind of an average Nigerian is white collar job. We often fail to look beyond Job.
Most times when we secure Job , we put in our whole body , spirit and soul, at the end of the month what we get as wages can never commensurate the labour we laboured.
This write up is an eye opener to us all to look within and beyond , to get other source or sources of income.
What is WORK: Work is simply said to be physical or mental effort. In simpler term, it is the means by which one earns through labour or toils.
"Work in itself totally is not condemnable, but pleasure in the job puts perfection in the job". Aristotle.
Ancient Greek philosophers share similar view on work;
Work is what slaves do.
A man without slaves is in no position to perfect the role of a stateman.
A man without slaves, automatically enslaves himself. Be a master wherever you find yourself and whatever you are doing and you will have either slaves working for you or your money working for you.
Most workers work for two reasons;
Food and shelter.
