The Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi Enitan, Arole Oodua, surprised Ajobiewe Aremu, the legendary Yoruba poet with a brand new car during his fifth year coronation anniversary.

Good gesture from the ooni, Ajobiewe has preserved the beautiful culture of Yoruba:he mastered the poetic salutation that befit a typical Yoruba king.' Feyikogbon' is the T.V show back then around 80's made him popular. He normally starts with 'Akanbi ogun ooooo'

What you are doing is not strange, it's sign of inferiority complex. Britain,French, even Hausa and other prominent tribes undergo the same everyday but it takes not greatness from them.

If you understand what they call language or cultural cannibalism you will understand the way you always see Yoruba language as threat to yours.
