Nigeria Denies Religious Freedom Violation Allegation

Nigeria has denied the allegation, by the United States, of engaging in systematic and egregious religious freedom violations.

In a statement issued in Abuja on Tuesday, the Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, described the allegation as a case of honest disagreement between the two nations on the causes of violence in Nigeria.

''Nigeria does not engage in religious freedom violation, neither does it have a policy of religious persecution. Victims of insecurity and terrorism in the country are adherents of Christianity, Islam and other religions,'' the Minister said.

He said Nigeria jealously protects religious freedom as enshrined in the country's constitution and takes seriously any infringements in this regard.

Homophobe, so being gay is now a major issue as compared to people being killed for their beliefs.

It all started like as a joke to Khamenei, and the political elites in Tehran when they started making these kind of list, now look where they are. Maduro of Venezuela also underrated the list when his administration was listed there and boom sanctions hit them from various corners. Sudan had to pay lots of money and lobby to get out of these lists because economic sanctions followed not long after.
Politicians in Nigeria will also take it as a joke as expected, they don't really understand the implication of making these list in the long run. They had better mend their ways if not things will get worse, and the people will have no choice than to revolt.

Pls stop talking lubbish. The way muslims hate christians in the north, is the same way christians hate muslims in the south. Its tit for tat. Christians are not the sole victims. The only difference is that christianity forbids violence while islam encourages it. However christians show their hatred in other ways too. Lets be honest biko

Useless Zombie, nobody in Nigeria has been killed because of their beliefs by the government, or any of it’s institutions, be it wailing Christians, or agitating Muslims.
