The ongoing emergency meeting of the National Executive Committee (NEC) of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) have just dissolved all states' chapters of the party across the 36 states and the FCT.

Igbere TV reports that the meeting also dissolved structures of the party at the zonal levels including the South South, South East, South West, North East, North West and North Central.

The meeting which is still ongoing is taking place at the Council Chambers of the Presidential Villa, Abuja and attended by President Muhammadu Buhari, Vice President Yemi Osinbanjo, Senate President Ahmad Lawan, Reps Speaker Femi Gbajabiamila.

Others in attendance include the Mai Buni led National Caretaker Committee, Governors elected under the ruling party. Chairmen of the party, zonal leaders and other members of the NEC are attending virtually.
