It has been established that the terrorist group known as Boko Haram has their base in the thick covers of Sambisa forest. What some may not know is that there is no network coverage or internet in the area. However, Boko Haram terrorists have been able to post videos of their attacks or videos where they claim responsibility of attacks. How have they achieved this feat over the years?

Last week, the terrorist group released a new video where they claimed responsibility of the attack and killing of over 40 farmers in Koshebe, Borno State.

For years, many have wondered how Boko Haram is able to post videos from the thick cover of a forest like Sambisa forest in the absence of a network coverage or internet.

For starters, the Boko Haram group has high level cameras and quality phones which they use to make their videos. This explains the reason why their videos usually has good picture quality.

A security expert, Bulama Bukarti who was one of the few civilians in Nigeria who has had direct communication with Boko Haram explained to the BBC how the group manoeuvres their way with network and internet.

According to Bulama, the terrorist group uses high level cameras and quality phones to record their attacks and videos which they upload on the internet. He disclosed that the group also have computers where they edit these videos before they upload them to either WhatsApp or Telegram, which are the channels they use to distribute them.

From his research, Bulama also found that ISWAP, which is the West African partners of Boko Haram has up to 50 WhatsApp groups and the reason for many groups is because they are usually shutdown when discovered. Therefore, if one group is shutdown, they would have somewhere else to post their activities. If WhatsApp blocked all their groups, they would move to Telegram.

Yet this stinking government claim that boko haram is technically defeated. Buhari is their leader, so don't expect boko haram to fade away soon. They have a daddy in arsehole rock

It is still not disclosed how they gain the network service to post these videos to the platforms. This Boko Haram thing is not different from militants, kidnappers and whatever; they have benefactors in high places, probably international organizations. I’m sure they receive word beforehand of preventive military activities about to take place.
