Barcelona presidential candidate Victor Font is convinced he can induce Lionel Messi to remain at the club if he wins the presidential seat later in January 2021.

Messi almost left Barcelona earlier this year when he handed in a transfer request following series of problems with the club's board. However, the Argentine later decided to stay but have also since been linked with a move to Serie A side Inter Milan and Paris Saint-Germain.

Speaking with ESPN, Font spoke on why Barcelona needs to keep Lionel Messi even with the possibility of the club going bankruptcy due to the situation of things and the pandemic.
