Following the latest management directives for “Slight Modifications in Faculties and Staff Positions”, Dr. Makuachukwu Ojide, Ag. Director, Research and Development, takes over from Dr. Mrs Anne Nwankwo as AE-FUNAI TETFund Desk Officer with effect from Thursday 10th December, 2020.

MRS NWANKWO MAKING PRESENTATION
In a brief handover ceremony at the new AE-FUNAI TETFund Desk Office, located at the Language Centre Building, on Thursday, December 10, 2020, Dr. Anne Nwankwo, outgoing Officer, recounted her achievements within the short but momentous time in office, pointing out that on assumption of office on 3rd March, 2020, she set out 4 Point Agenda as cardinal drivers to optimum performance. She made bold to state that she and her team successfully delivered on the key areas which were actualizing the development of Academic Manuscript into Books (AMB), implementing justifiable parameters for the section of staff for capacity development through Conference attendance without fear or favoritism, Secure of more academic sponsorship opportunities for local scholars and getting office accommodation and facility for the day to day running of AST&grin related matters.

MORE PRESENTATIONS
She provided relevant details of all the achievements during her tenure and outstanding assignments in the handover note, to properly guide the incoming officer, including introduction of her assistant, Miss Zainab Oji, who she said will be very helpful to the new officer. Dr. Mrs Nwankwo promised to be available to give all assistance he may require, while enthusing that her stay in the office was, though challenging but very interesting and successful.

MRS NWANKWO INTRODUCING MS ZAINAB OJI
The outgoing Officer pointed out that the choice of Dr. Ojide as her successor is very appropriate, especially as he has served in the University TETFund Committee. She thanked VC, Prof. Chinedum Nwajiuba for giving her the opportunity to serve in that capacity as TETFund Desk Officer.

DR.OJIDE RESPONDING
In his acceptance speech, Dr. Ojide, told his predecessor that they have always been together in the TETFund team and has always admired her courage, commitment and team spirit, urging her to always be there for him, as he steps into “the big shoe”. Dr Ojide thanked VC and management for finding him worthy of such sensitive assignment, pledging to do his best to deliver on the demands of the office while exhibiting team spirit and discipline.
