I use a locally fabricated gas oven for now capable of baking 25 loaves at a go. Hoping to get a bigger and better one as the business grows

Having graduated from the University in 2009 with a degree in Food Science and Technology, worked with several food companies for about 8 yrs now, I now finally have my own bakery. I have started processing CAC.
I spent approximately #1.8M to setup, shop rent inclusive.
I will begin NAFDAC registration by next year. It's not compulsory u register with nafdac immediately though it's necessary. You can start up your business first, then begin NAFDAC processing

Well I'm not into agege bread. I'm into premium bread, that's slice bread and other quality kinds of bread. As for the profit margin, it depends on lots of factors, like your recipe, staff strength, market value etc. On average, #100 per loaf, thats if you are producing and selling directly to the final consumers. Also remember your location can as well determine how much you sell your product. Lastly, bread business is all about numbers, ur turnover
