What type of oven do you use and what is the capacity. Everything being equal, would you have gone for a better one?

I use a locally fabricated gas oven for now capable of baking 25 loaves at a go. Hoping to get a bigger and better one as the business grows

All glory to God, I have been able to actualize my long time dream of owning a bakery. Having graduated from the University in 2009 with a degree in Food Science and Technology, worked with several food companies for about 8 yrs now, I now finally have my own bakery. I just want this thread to be for those in the business or those intending to go into bakery business. Come in let's share ideas together. Also feel free to ask me any questions, I'm available to respond to them all

Congratulations brother.

1. Did you register a company for it?
2. What's an average amount for a small startup.
3. Does one need NAFDAC registration to start?

Thanks

I have started processing CAC.
I spent approximately #1.8M to setup, shop rent inclusive.
I will begin NAFDAC registration by next year. It's not compulsory u register with nafdac immediately though it's necessary. You can start up your business first, then begin NAFDAC processing

Thanks for sharing in my joy.
Well I'm not into agege bread. I'm into premium bread, that's slice bread and other quality kinds of bread. As for the profit margin, it depends on lots of factors, like your recipe, staff strength, market value etc. On average, #100 per loaf, thats if you are producing and selling directly to the final consumers. Also remember your location can as well determine how much you sell your product. Lastly, bread business is all about numbers, ur turnover

Congratulations sir.
I hope you have processes in place to prevent or reduce to the barest minimum, any case of theft or pilfirage.

Lol, yes of course . Please grin

I have time.

The book follows the teachings of a very wealthy man to his 3 poor friends whom he grew up with.

He teaches them, using very detailed storylines and prose:

1. That you must save a portion of what you earn to pay yourself first.

2. This savings will “start your purse to fattening”

3. That you must do all you can not to allow “your expenditure rise unnecessarily above your incomes”

4. That you must deliberately pay off all your debts.

The book also follows the story of several young men who, coming from the bottom, saved and invested their way to financial success.

Read it!
