It's sad that someone like Nnamdi Kanu who I'm not a fan of in the least is the one taking the initiative to have a Eastern security network established, but we have to protect the territorial integrity of the East by any means necessary, this time around its not "IPOB" or some "Biafran" security outfit that will make the Nigerian government jittery, it's now left to the useless governors in the East to legitimize this security network but we know what it will come down to.

If we the people press it upon the Governors of the SE to collapse the various vigilantes into one SE security outfit, they would bow to pressure. Note, I use the word SE and not eastern Nigeria because including the minority areas of old eastern region will not work. They are always suspicious of anything Igbo, so for Kanu to form this crap is dead on arrival. He has no authority and my main concern here is the safety of lives of gullible Igbo youths.
With enough pressure on our useless Governors, they will accept to form a SE security outfit that will see the entire Igbo land as one that needs to be defended against herdsmen attack. But to do this, you must also be diplomatic in getting the IG of police and federal government to see reason with your request. Kanu must not be allowed to have anything to do with security in the SE or else, it raises suspicion

It doesn’t have to bear anything Biafra for the government to see it as a Biafran security network because of the person (Kanu) who put the whole thing together. This is the more reason why I said it must be done by the constituted authority, who happens to be the Governors. The hisbah and Amotekun were formed by the northern and S. western governors respectively.
In the SE, we have vigilantes already and if the governors want, they can bring them all under one central SE command, like it was done by SW governors for Amotekun.
We are still Nigerians and can use what others have done to our own advantage and not raise any suspicion from other Nigerians, by allowing one run away porns.tar to form a security outfit for the entire East.

Stop been smart by half, I didn't see any memo where the so called minorities were forced to be part of the security network, the nomenclature for the security outfit should rightfully be called "Eastern security Network" because it sounds more fitting... I watched the entire length of the video and the representatives of those minority tribes that spoke on behalf of their members didn't look like they were forced to join.

You naively keep expecting the governors in the East to legitimize the organization when we all know those idiots are scared to take any initiative towards protecting the security interest of our homeland, we don't need them anyway... if the serious minded Igbo elites begin to lend support then we should be good.

Kanu or no Kanu the fundamental grey matter here is that the East is badly exposed right now and our mothers are been killed or raped on their farms, our forests have been occupied by strange looking marauders...they are everywhere in the South now and whether we like it or not, the safety of our homeland isn't guaranteed anymore. So it's easy for you to sit in your high horse and condemn everything, Kanu can be a mad mad sometimes I agree, but if you think you are the smarter and more cognitive one with tact and strategy... then put your talents to good use by coming up with a better solution? those guys who proudly marched in that video might be foolish to you for following a crazy leader like Kanu... but at least they have the interest of their homelands at heart, and you have to respect that.
