Job Summary

The Investment Banker will be responsible for evaluating the company and its businesses in building capital, managing mergers, implementing financial models, preparing legal and financial records as well as analyzing and closing finance deals.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Research, analyse, and interpret financial information and market trends.

Develops financial models to analyse deals and offers to determine viability and profitability.

create marketable products that will attract investors either through direct investment, crowd funding or applicable strategy allowed with statutory frameworks.

Prepare legal and financial records to complete investments, acquisitions, and purchases.

Maintain comprehensive knowledge of regulatory and legal issues in the financial industry.

Analyze risk and offer financial advice.

Develops and maintains a corporate, individual, and government client base

Issue debt and trade equity to increase capital.

Conduct strategic research and due diligence investigations

Assist with corporate restructuring, oversee mergers and acquisitions.

Develop strategies to discover and close potential investors.potential investors

Supervise IPOs and private equity settlements/placements.

Conduct research and due diligence investigations to understand the market

Identify innovative business opportunities to help the organisation expand and grow.

Guide the organisation through expansion of corporate enterprise to maximize profits.

Work with management to determine amounts of capital needed to meet business goals, and identifies markets or products from which to raise capital.

Buy and sell investments, stocks, and trusts on behalf of the company.

Prepares legal and financial documents to complete purchases, investments, and acquisitions.

Consults with lawyers and other financial experts as necessary to ensure legality and the best possible outcome for deals

Assist clients with restructuring large debt obligations by negotiating agreements with financial institutions and investors.

Maintain the highest professional and ethical standards.

Qualifications and Requirements

BSc/BA in Finance, Business Administration, Economics or similar field.

A minimum of 3 years’ experience as an investment banker.

Professional certification is an asset.

Strong work ethic and professionalism.

Excellent analytical and quantitative skills, research, statistics, mathematics, investing, critical thinking, decision making.

Ability to work with tight deadlines.

Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.

Experience with valuation, modeling and financial forecasting

Knowledge of regulations covering securities and M&As

Solid grasp of current market developments

In-depth knowledge of deal structuring, regulations, and closing principals.
