The Ring Magazine Heavyweight Rankings Updated Following Anthony Joshua's Victory Over Kubrat Pulev

The Ring Magazine's heavyweight rankings have been updated following Anthony Joshua's stunning victory over Kubrat Pulev.
'AJ' brutally stopped mandatory challenger Pulev in the ninth round to defend his unified world heavyweight titles.

The win at Wembley Arena sees him secure his place at No.1 in The Ring Magazine's rankings, behind Tyson Fury who's still The Ring Magazine champion.

The 'Gypsy King' claimed the vacant The Ring Magazine title when he destroyed Deontay Wilder in their championship bout in February.

'The Bronze Bomber' is ranked third ahead of Alexander Povetkin who knocked out Dillian Whyte in August.

Whyte, Luis Ortiz and Andy Ruiz Jr are ranked fourth, fifth and sixth, respectively.

Joseph Parker, Michael Hunter, Oscar Rivas and Oleksandr Usyk make up the top ten.

The Ring Magazine heavyweight rankings:

C. Tyson Fury

1. Anthony Joshua

2. Deontay Wilder

3. Alexander Povetkin

4. Dillian Whyte

5. Luis Ortiz

6. Andy Ruiz Jr

7. Joseph Parker

8. Michael Hunter

9. Oscar Rivas

10. Oleksandr Usyk

A blockbuster undisputed clash between Joshua and Fury has been mooted with WBO mandatory challenger Usyk hinting that he would be willing to step aside.

"All four belts might end up in the same hands of one person," the Ukrainian said.

"It might be a once in a lifetime opportunity. We should all talk and communicate for that to happen because it is a really big event."

He added: "I still want to fight Anthony Joshua for the title. There are many factors for this fight to happen, my team and all the participants and all their interested parties are already working on it.

"But there are still many people who wish to fight him as well, like Tyson Fury."
