Nigeria reminds one of a bus fully loaded with passengers being driven by a drunk driver and everyone keeps quiet until the inevitable happens.

Why are people not talking nor demonstrating against the government that offers them bullet and stones instead of bread? It seems that everyone is calmly waiting for one tragedy or the other to take them away from misery forever.

I wish nobody will answer that guy

Despite the insecurities, who has the guts to label us a failed state?

Pick on the president and his cohort, not the country as a whole.

Unfortunately, d president & his cohorts run d govt& have made govt absent. When there's no govt, d country will gradually slide into anarchy as we are witnessing. So to an extent, d news daily is correct

Bless u. I was thinking about it y'day especially as it regards this NIN. D govt has threatened nigerians & everyone is running up& down. But this same govt has failed in it's responsibilities & still has d guts to threaten to cut people's phone lines because of NIN. Like u noted, nigerians are very compliant& d govt knows it. Nigerians aren't a defiant bunch because we believe in letting sleep dogs lie& also ignorance of our rights. With all d gun violence in d US, an American will never allow any govt to take their guns. But once govt comes with one stupid policy & flimsy reason backed up with a threat, everybody starts running to do d bidding of govt that doesn't do d bidding of d people

Not surprised. FG would call it fake news as usual then boast about the economic impact of the tradermoni program sad

EVEN THE TRADERMONI NO GET HEAD AGAIN SINCE BUHARI SACK PROF OSINBANJO FROM THE TEAM.

Osinbanjo was the person who brought attraction to the Tradermoni because of his level in government and his good sense of humour.

They had no other plan but to get power by all means.... They eventually got it but don't know what to do with it except to oppress Nigerians..... Who unfortunately ve all gone quiet for fear of retribution.

Welcome to Nigeria... The suffering and smiling people

Imagine the statement. So if it was a white man you would not consider it questionable, duh. It's not easy to be a zombie in these times.

What exactly is questionable about the content of the article? Are Nigerians not witnessing a deluge of insecurity amongst other challenges? Where is the lie there?

Nigerians and Foreigners think that insecurity is the worst evil bedeviling this country. It's a capital no. It's not even corruption. BUT I don't know what to call it neither do anybody just yet. Of you think it's corruption then have a look at Russia. As corrupt as Russia with a group of selected few from St Petersburg and Moscow, yet Russia has a better standard of living.

My point is, until we identify the very problem of this country and deal with it collectively, Nigerian will continue a free fall into perdition

My opinion is, the only problem in nigeria is the Northern citizens. If Nigerians would be bold enough to tell them to their face just like Junaid Muhammad once did in 2017, then we're good to go. And again, the day they'd accept the global standards of leadership and practices, Nigeria will skyrocket.
These guys are holding us down perpetually in: education, Sport, entertainment, tourism, social lifestyle, tradition, religion, technology, leadership, everything.

Lai Mohammed and Geoffrey Onyeama needs to issue strong worded statements to this effect. Afterall security situations have greatly improved under Bubu. Zulum is a witness.
