How can you differentiate between a banana and plantain tree on germination,when it has no fruit on it yet.

bananas has blackish colour on the stems ,while plantains has normal greenish/yellow colouration.

bananas are darker green pseudo stem while plantains have lighter green pseudo stem

bananas tend to have black spotting colorations ( though not applicable to all bananas species)
while it's absent in plantains

as they grow older, bananas have more broader and darker green leaves than Plantains
