This item was factory made, refurbished, inspected and certified by HP; to work like new. The QR code for verification is still on the sticker underneath the laptop. Item was bought and shipped from the United States and during the servicing and cleaning process, part of the backlight pad (a separate polythene material placed on the keyboard) got torn due to a screw still being attached to it.

The effect of this is why the backlight of the keyboard is partial and not full. It doesn't affect any functionality of the laptop in any way apart from the partial light it's showing.


SOLUTION
To get a full backlight, you have to get a new backlit pad which is not sold separately but with a new keyboard which you would attach to the keyboard (costs 10k for the two). The backlit pad can also be attached to the old keyboard to get a full backlight.[/s]
