On Sunday march 27th, 2011, what started out as a little fire ended up turning into an inferno that eventually brought down The Balmoral, the venue for the City People Awards. The event was attended by numerous big names in lagos including, Tiwa Savage, Genevieve Nnaji, 2face, and many more.
