The Ajimobi Campaign Organisation has charged the Inspector General of Police, Hafiz Ringim, to parade suspects arrested in the voter register fraud in Oyo State recently.

The campaign organisation said in a statement issued by its Director of Publicity, Mr Yanju Adegbite, that there was an alleged cover-up between the government and the police to ensure that the suspects were let off the hook.

The organisation said that the government, in spite of the denials of many of its functionaries that the PDP-led government did have a hand in the fraud, was actually neck-deep in the fraud and a parade of the suspects would put a lie to all the PDP denials.

According to the statement, the PDP was merely crying wolf about alleged plan of the ACN in the state to cause chaos when it was a known fact all over that the Adebayo Alao-Akala government in the state was the mastermind of present and past “electoral machinations in Oyo State.”

The gubernatorial candidate also urged the PDP to “go beyond the realm of sophistries and allegations and name who in Oyo ACN was planning to cause chaos and how, without necessarily shouting for shouting sake.”

The campaign organisation also alleged that the PDP was planning to use state government ambulances to convey thugs/hoodlums during the election period.

“We want the security agencies to be on the alert and do their jobs diligently. We believe that the security agencies are ordinarily unbiased and will remain like that during the forthcoming elections.”

“ Members of the public are also advised to be vigilant, especially when they sight any ambulance during the elections,” the statement added.

Meanwhile, Senator Abiola Ajimobi, the ACN gubernatorial candidate in the state, has urged Nigerians to carry out an integrity check on all the candidates, in order to ensure that corruptible individuals are not voted into office.

Addressing some professionals and intellectuals in Ibadan on Sunday, Senator Ajimobi said that only candidates with good track records and exemplary leadership skills can save the country, especially Oyo State, from her deplorable state.

He pointed out that his administration, if voted into power, will ensure the monthly publications of all government financial transactions in national dailies, in order to eradicate shady deals and corrupt activities.

Senator Ajimobi said, “it is only candidates with good integrity, credibility, selfless service and masses-oriented vision, good intention and commitments that can move Oyo State forward and take it to its rightful position as indeed a pacesetter.

“Government is about service to the people. One should not be in government and allow the people to suffer. We should always be ready to alleviate their sufferings and let them feel the impact of government.

“I am ready to serve and make Oyo State better. The citizens will benefit immensely from ACN government in the state and Oyo State itself will wear a new, better and improved look,” Senator Ajimobi added.
