Continuous Neglect Of The Poor Will Backfire O Ruling Class, Bishop Onuoha Warns by Rumniggar123(m): 7:11pm On Dec 28, 2020
The President, Vision Africa International, Bishop Dr. Sunday Ndukwo Onuoha, has called on Government at all levels to engage the youth in meaningful ventures to curtail restiveness.

The Methodist Bishop, who made the call on Monday while receiving Africa's Patriotic Clergy Personality of the Year Award by the League of Africa Development Students, (Lead Africa), insisted that having been a youth leader at a very young age, engaging the youth in various crafts, will take their minds off crime and criminality.

The Global Peace Award Winner 2013 who re-emphasized the value of peace and the need to address the concerns and agitations of the youth, said the earlier the Nigerian Government acts in favour of the youth, the better, stressing that continuous neglect of their agitations will backfire on the ruling class.

The Co-Chair Interfaith Dialogue Forum for Peace, warned of the injustice meted to the poor in the country, reiterating that the poor will soon converge as an association of angry people and unleash mayhem on the entire country, urging those who have held Nigeria and Nigerians hostage to repent.

Bishop Onuoha, thanked the League of Africa Development Students, (Lead Africa) for finding him worthy of the award while dedicating the award to clerics, individuals working hard in the hinterland without any recognition, pleading that Vision Africa Radio will continue to play it's function to the society

Earlier, while reading out what necessitated the award to Bishop Onuoha, the leader of the delegation, Osisiogu Osikenyi, hinted that the award is in recognition of his philanthropic service to humanity, commitment towards development of the society and his capacity in ecclesiastical service and proficiency in leadership as well as other assignments.

He added that Bishop Onuoha is a patriotic Nigerian clergy, an innovative and human capital investor, which are virtues that attracted the award, revealing that he has been a source of inspiration to the younger generation.

An inspiration to the youth indeed. Bishop Onuoha was the Chairman of the Nigeria Christian Corpers' Fellowship (NCCF) National Conference held in Jos, Plateau State in 2006.
