Nigerian EdTech Startup, Ustacky has announced the launch of its Microdegree™ Scholarship Program. The Scholarship is available to 1,000 candidates and Ustacky is accepting applications effective immediately, up until ​January 31, 2021.
Despite a 60% youth population​, and a projected 89% increase by 2050, SubSaharan Africa is home to the largest group of unemployed youths in the world. And notwithstanding the proliferation of tech companies in the region, there exists a wide skill gap with lots of employers having problems finding the right talent.
The Ustacky Microdegree™ Scholarship Program seeks to fill this void by providing technical and financial support to upcoming talents building careers in Software Development and Data Science. Ten outstanding candidates will receive N50,000 each and probable employment with Ustacky.
Collaborating with Data Science Nigeria (DSN) and Wennovation, the Ustacky Microdegree™ Scholarship Program is open to committed tech enthusiasts and developers pursuing a career in Technology. Applicants must demonstrate a strong desire and commitment towards a career in Tech to be considered.
