Sad news as FRSC confirms the death of 23 people in a recent ghastly accident involving a trailer truck that was heading to Lagos state. Read more!

While many families are happily celebrating the festive season with their loved ones, the family of some 23 people would be mourning the recent death of their children that died in a recent truck accident along Makera-Mokwa road in Niger State.

Yes, it is very sad news to hear at such a time like this because several warnings are usually given to commercial motorists in Nigeria during this time, but only a few of them normally take heed. This is mostly the only cause of many horrifying car crashes during the Christmas and New Year celebration period in Nigeria.

What is more painful about this accident news is the fact that the Niger State FRSC boss specifically revealed that it was mainly caused by failure to obey proper traffic rules. He claimed that the truck driver actually lost control of the heavy-duty trailer causing the horrific crash that made the vehicle somersaulted. The FRSC boss ended his comment by concluding and confirming that violation of government-specified Speed Limits resulted in the loss of control which caused the terrible accident.

Meanwhile, just a few days ago, an FRSC official explained on national TV that the agency will do all it can to ensure that Nigerian motorists comply with traffic rules during this festive period. Below is the press report video of this update.
