On Friday, January 1, two months after a mob invaded his palace, the Oba of Lagos, Oba Rilwan Akiolu, returned to his palace, grabbing food and other things, including his office workers, on October 20.

Following the gunshot attack on October 20 at the Lekki tollgate, the state of Lagos announced grievous destruction of lives and property orchestrated by hoodlums. The crisis that occurred in the state saw the invasion of the monarch's palace, with men and women carting away every object in sight. Some people even swam inside the palace in the lake.
