The federal government has assured the nation that the first batch of COVID-19 vaccines will arrive by the end of January at the latest.

Dr. Sani Aliyu, the National Coordinator of the COVID-19 Presidential Task Force on Power, told ARISE News, the broadcasting arm of THISDAY Newspapers, yesterday that A presidential order is in effect to ensure that vaccines are obtained as promptly as possible.

There is a lot of work going on with the National Primary Healthcare Development Agency (NPHCDA) in terms of when it will be available in the country and the president directed the Presidential Task Force on COVID-19 Monitoring over the last two weeks to get involved in the nitty gritty efforts to ensure that the vaccines arrive in a timely manner.
