Bayelsa is a big disgrace. . The state proves that judicious management of resources is as important as having the resources. A state of nine LGAs that can't pay salaries, enjoys all the extra money that goes to Niger Delta states, relatively new state, and still one of the biggest debtors. |

thebosstrevor1:No difference. There's nothing like debt free money, printed or not. Even mafias that do this 'wash' the money as quickly as possible (put it in circulation) cos they know it is just ordinary paper no matter how real it is. Unless you suggesting this be done cos if its done like you suggesting, CBN literally be giving out paper with no value. |

nedekid: It wont cause inflation because you are printing and lending it interest free to the economy and also for infrastructure. Similar stuff have been practiced before. Read about Guernsey Experiment |

KrazyDave16: Hell no. If government use that printed money to invest in infrastructures, there will be jobs for many people. Meaning more companies will employ lot of people. The infĺation in Zimbabwe was caused by government directly pumping money into the economy instead of infrastructure |

KrazyDave16: It has been done before, main stream economy policies are against these idea but it works. Using debt free money to invest in infrastructures increases production and create jobs for people. Go read on Sovereign Money Creation or public money creation. |

BIGPREEQ:What's in Lagos? Oh brtc buses hahaha. Go watch the deplorable roads in Lagos state on Lagos TV, you will weep for lagosians. Imagine sanwo Olu abi wetin dem dey call am declaring operation no to portholes instead of reconstruction he's patching the roads to loot funds. I ask what did the past governors in Lagos do with the monthly funds allocated by FG to states or the funds Lagos state received than others. Count out the private companies in Lagos due to inflated noise about Lagos, there's nothing Lagos state can boast of as revenue to the state. |
Re: FG Owes 79% Of N20tr Domestic Debts, As Lagos Leads States by Nobody: 1:57am On Jan 06, 2021 |
thebosstrevor1:inflation will increase due to high circulation of money in the system, your government will not use local contractors, the foreign contractors will be paid in dollars there by reducing the circulation of the dollars in the Nigerian market, causing the CBN more measures to stabilize the naira, (more money). Nigeria has a limit or percentage to print certain amounts of money into the system due to the trade agreement with the world bank, which is tied to the US dollars on trade. more than that you see the consequences, that's why China keeps manipulating its currency to beat the US dollars and compete with the US economy . Same thing happening to Zimbabwe. Nigeria needs skilled workers, that will transform the economy, you build infrastructures do you have the skilled workers who can manufacture for domestic use or products for export? That's why China and other Asian giant is doing great compared to African countries, they got the skilled workers who can manufacture and produce for domestic use. Common polio, chicken pox vaccines we are waiting for world health organizations and others to come to our aid not to talk of other areas. If you have the skilled workers you can take loans and invest in those infrastructures you are talking about. Look at Hong Kong in China, the UK is offering 100,000 thousand Hong Kong citizens free five years residents permit to live and work in the UK, whereas common wealth member countries in africa has not benefit from such before, all of them are skilled and some of them are bringing in their business from Hong Kong to the UK, which is what the UK is looking at to add to their economy growth. |

Femijohn198:That is just for the domestic debt o, by the time you add the foreign debt, every Nigerian would be owing about 500, 000 naira. One day, the government might forcefully seize money in people's bank accounts to pay off debt. |
Re: FG Owes 79% Of N20tr Domestic Debts, As Lagos Leads States by Nobody: 2:19am On Jan 06, 2021 |
thebosstrevor1:Is still the same thing you're talking about, will the infrastructures not grow the economy? You build infrastructures to grow the economy and pump money into the economy to cause economic growth is the same thing. *Government pump money into the economy for many purpose in other to effect change on the economy. The only way such can work is when there's skilled workers in the country. We keep contracting foreign workers to work on common projects like roads, bridges, oil and gas sectors etc that most countries in Asia have past such stage. |
