Brazilian legend Pele insists Cristiano Ronaldo has not yet beaten his all-time record for scoring goals, updating his tally to 1,283.

Juventus striker Ronaldo made history on Sunday with a brace in the 4-1 Serie A victory over Udinese.

That took him to 758 goals in official matches, ahead of Pele’s recorded 757.

He is now only behind Josef Bican’s remarkable 805 goals, set from 1931 to his retirement in 1957 in Austria and the Czech Republic.

However, just hours after CR7 reached 758 goals, Pele updated the biography on his official Instagram page with this note.

“Leading Goal Scorer of All Time (1,283).”

This is a heavily-disputed tally that includes goals scored during friendlies, tours and testimonials.

Pele played from 1956-77 for Santos, the New York Cosmos and his nation Brazil.

If Ronaldo were to calculate the goals he scored in friendlies, then it may well be able to rival Pele’s claim.

we all know that preseason games today don't count even if u win or u score goals because its seen as jus warm up games, maybe FIFA are trying to say those goals dt were scrapped were just warmup games..

what they meant is dt those friendlies aint recognized by FIFA then...mind u not all pre season goals are recorded for messi and cr7 when calculating thier goals. thats why they hardly play preseason games...
it wont hard juve to organize a pre season game against a 6th division club in Turin, field a strong 11 against them and allow cr7 score 20 goals per game if pre season goals do count..

Lets even say they score 2 per game which is outrageous, they will still need 250 matches for that.

Calculate the injuries and the impact it will have on their careers.

Now imagine wiping that off someone's record after all that sweat, toil, risk etc. It is wrong!
