I disagree with number 3. There is actually purpose for everything created including humans. Most men associate their own self worth to how much they make and how well they provide. This leads them to only attract people who recognize what they provide. When unconditional love shows up, they dismiss it because they don't believe in it. Mind you, most men don't even love themselves unconditionally.
