I guess you don't life on the axis (lekki axis) because if you do u will know how bad traffic can be on that axis with just one small distruption either as accident or flood eg Abraham adesanya round about ,now adding bad road to it will be nothing but disaster.

Having a toll road on the axis/road does not mean it should be the only road that should be maintained , it just means the liability of the road which includes maintenance and others has been transferred to the concessionaire( the operator of the toll gate ) and with that one out the govt can use the fund that will have been used on that road for others road that has no toll gate or for other developmental purpose
