The goalposts, hoops & finish lines in sports helps athletes to:

•Work towards achieving something
•Measure their success
•Channel their energy and resources aright
•Score points
•Stay focused

Without goals in mind, confusion & misdirection would be inevitable.

To achieve results, you must plan for them and this is where goal setting comes in. Have in mind the things you want to achieve this year in the different aspects of your life ranging from business, family, relationship, finance etc.

This will help you stay focused and minimize distractions.

Now, haven had a mental picture of your proposed accomplishments, go ahead and write them down & set specific deadlines.

Make sure your goals are SMART.

They must be Specific, Measurable, Attainable/Achievable, Realistic/Relevant & Time Bound.
