WHY TALK ABOUT B TEAM. WHY DO PEOPLE MOSTLY ARGENTINES BLAST MESSI 4 NT GIVING THEM INTERNATIONAL TROPHY ? DIDN'T MESSI WIN OLYMPICS ? WE ARE TALKING ABOUT SENIOR LEVELS AND NOT B. U CNT BE GIVEN THE BEST MANAGER BECUS U WON ACCOLADES WITH JUNIOR TEAM
Since Pep left Barca, no coach has made impart the way he did. It shows he wasnt a fluke.
Pep never lost bundesliga all thru his tenure at Bayern. They lost immediately he left and even Great Ancelloti couldnt avoid being sacked.
Jose coached Man utd, and Chelsea and got sacked at one point. It is always hard to sack a winning coach like Pep.
This is someone that already have more than 8 Trophies with Man city in 4yrs.
Jose Mou is good no doubt . But trying to make Pep look bad or not good enough is what i wont accept. No coach is perfect and no one wins forever. You win some and lose some.

I dont know why ppl hate pep so much, Mourinho that spent nearly a year without a club after man u sacked him..if Pep decide to leave mancity, all the big clubs will agree to sack their current manager just to have him except maybe for liverpool klopp..mancity vs tottenham carabao finals comes up in a months time, ask those who think mou is a better coach to bet against city winning the cup, they will run away..Btw like for like tottenham has a better first eleven of kane, bale, son, lucas moura etc.

if you check very well, I was referring to prime Mourinho, after his stint at Inter Milan Mourinho has gone down hill, do you know the kind of man management he did to an average squad at Porto that won the champions league? I have been supporting inter Milan since 2003, he made the squad believe they can win the champions league when he took over.

Prime mourinho was a blessing to football, it is a pity he is shadow of his old self, Materazzi was crying when Mourinho was about to leave despite being an heavily under used substitute for Mourinho, he gave Stankovic 2 weeks break when his wife gave birth, he convinced eto"o to play wide forward position despite eto's preferred centre forward position.

Mourinho would always give you the believe that you can do it, no matter how inferior your talent is, but of recent maybe because of old age or inability to reinvent himself, he has become a very toxic individual and his man management skills are not good enough anymore.
I agree that, he is just a shadow of his old self. I used to admire the kind of relationship he had with the likes of Lampard, Terry, Drogba & Essien. They bonded so well and the guys were ready to do anything for their coach. He doesn't hesitate to defend them before the press and pundits. He did same at inter but immediately he joined Madrid, everything changed. Maybe it comes with age just like you mentioned though.

pep made city unbeatable in england and he won all trophies in two consecutive seasons with record winning points never seen before..
pep only fault is not winning UCL since he left barca but I still insist dt he and mou came to epl the same season n mou had players and resources too but pep out classed and performed better than him..

Bros you are the ignorant one here and that guy you quoted is actually right.

In 2003/2004 UCL, all the big teams flopped:

Real Madrid was eliminated by Monaco in the QF, Man utd was eliminated by Porto in the final match of the group stage.

AC Milan was dumped out by Deportivo La Coruna while Liverpool couldnt even make the UCL at all.

Bayern Munich was dumped out in the second round by an upcoming Ranieri's Chelsea team while Barcelona couldnt make it into the UCL knockout stages at all.

The 2004 UCL final was played between Porto and Monaco, (more like a group stage tie). In fact the semi-finalists were Porto, Deportivo, Monaco and Ranieri's Chelsea. Go figure.

So yes, again you are the ignorant one and stop sounding like you understand football very well when you have a poor knowledge of its history!

Being dumped out of the competition, doesn't mean they weren't the best teams then....

Facts only!!!

Pep has not won the UCL in over 6 years since leaving Messi and barca. 3 years at Bayern without a final and 4 at city now with a single ucl final. we are not talking of winning it o, just enter final he cannot.

Watch all the managers that coached Messi when he was still messi, they all won UCL. Messi makes every coach look so good just as CR7 when he was hot too. Since he left, Madrid is struggling to win anything until barca single handedly dashed them la liga last season, Zidane yansh sef for open.

I always say it, Pep is nothing without messi but people dey argue and i have told them to ask Pep to prove me wrong but he still haven't. Two german coaches won UCL with that Bayern team pre and post pep era, meanwhile the almighty pep couldn't make a single final in 6 years plus.

Mourinho has reached the Carling cup final with spurs now, don't be surprised he will win it. Spurs haven't won anything for years and like you said, Jose gives a team what they do need. always something new and special.

Meanwhile, Pep is still chasing old messi to join him at city maybe he can finally win the UCL. grin grin grin grin

It's really easy bro.
Barca has won the champions league before Pep's arrival. He couldn't even win it at Bayern.

Mourinho broke a record for Porto. He broke 50 years jinx for Inter milan and won the league for chelsea as a record. Please give it to Mourinho. Guardiola has not won a record trophy for a club.

You know the story behind Guardiola's employment as Barca Manager...

He humiliated the Barca Team with his Barca B youngsters...
( they had to take him aside to ask his players to 'calm down')

You should read about it...

Guardiola revolutionalized Football in the past 10 years.
You can see bits and pieces of his style of play in most top teams now.

If coaching were only about winning trophies with Watford, people like Bielsa wouldn't be revered.

Mention 1 virgin trophy Guardiola has won in his career for a club.

Pep bought 80%of mancity current team. He sold the likes of zabaleta, sagna, kolarov, clichy, hart, mangala, dzeko, navas etc and bought relatively unknown players like sane, gabriel Jesus etc. Pep always leaves a legacy unlike mou. Bayern recent success is as aresult of pep legacy and playing style.

1) Prior to Mou at Madrid, they hadn't moved past the knockout stage of the UCL for 5 years or won LA Liga. Mourinho narrowly lost two semi finals, one with penalties against Bayern

2) In that return to Chelsea where he flopped, you seem to forget that he actually won the epl on his return, before falling out with players after a certain incident with club doctor and Eden Hazard.

3)Mourinho won europa league at Man utd. Got them back into the champions league. Again, falling out with players (pogba) was his undoing. Pep took over a city team that was very much at it's peak. He still hasn't delivered the UCL

4)conclusively, both are very good managers in their day, with contrasting styles. I m a huge fan of Pep, but I do not disparage Mourinho.
Mourinho's biggest problem is his frequent falling out with players

The truth...
Re: Samuel Eto'o: I Prefer Mourinho's Style To Guardiola's by donbrowser(m): 2:55pm On Jan 12
paulolee:

1...since 1993 no team have won UCL consecutively but zizou did it three times and it doesn't mean he is still the best coach ever because people still say its based on his good team and luck factor
2..I know he won the league in Chelsea but the career of a coach isn't judged by the beginning but by the overall especially how it ends and he was sacked because he failed..
3..pep haven't been in europa and thats not a yard stick and you said he is always falling out with his players which means he is lacking some man management skills because even the media says his style is too strict n rigid unlike pep
am not playing down on mourinho, my point is dt with a good team that have enough money to spend. pep would perform better than mou anytime anyday..

But he had a good team (Bayern) that won the league with over 20 points and the champions league before he came yet he couldn't repeat a feature close to that with enough money.

He also has Manchester city too where he's been spending and cannot win what they have not won before his arrival.

So what's the point bro?

pep n eto once had disagreement because I remembered a season that la liga was already won with points and barca still had UCL engagements to attend to, pep started resting Eto in league games BT Eto wasnt happy because he was competing with forlan for the pichichi award dt forlan went ahead and won..
Eto was angry n blasted pep who said Eto is selfish for placing himself first before the team and went ahead to dump him the following season for a stubborn zlatan..
