Ms Folakemi Aremu, the family of the late Nollywood actress, popularly known as Orisabunmi, has responded to many rumours about her cause of death.

There were reports that she and her siblings died because of problems with COVID-19.

The actress was confirmed dead last week after suffering a cough, and Steve Onishola, her older brother, died at 71 about 24 hours after her death.

But according to Punch, the nephew of the deceased, Gbenga Onishola, said the duo’s younger sister passed away on Saturday.

Some reports that went viral on social media sites, however, suggested that Orisabunmi contracted COVID19 at an event in December in Ibadan, Oyo State, where a famous gospel singer, Esther Igbekele, performed, claiming she went on to infect her family with the virus.

The family, however, described the reports as baseless lies, Oluwaseun Adelubi, a family member, said,
