Exiting VC Prof, Nwajiuba Resumes Duty in new office
Exactly one month to go, Vice-Chancellor, Alex Ekwueme Federal University Ndufu-Alike, Ebonyi State, Professor Chinedum Nwajiuba on Monday 11th January, 2021, resumed duty in the new Vice-Chancellor’s office, housed in the just completed new Senate Building in the University. The complex is a TETFund 2016 Special High Impact Intervention Project, started and completed under the watch of Prof. Nwajiuba and counted as one of the various landmark achievements of the ever diligent VC, who will be leaving office on February 11th, 2021, when his tenure, as 2nd VC of the fast growing and most serious public University in Nigeria, will end.

Prof. Nwajiuba Receiving Bishop Ifemene

Bishop of Ikwo Dioceses, Anglican Communion, Right Reverend Kenneth Ifemene, was on ground to sanctify the new office. Taking his sermon from the book of Psalm 24 vs 7, which he recalled was the same message delivered at the opening of the Main University Gate on the assumption of Prof. Nwajiuba as VC of AE-FUNA in 2016. He adduced that the doors of success and remarkable achievements in the University were opened with the spiritual strength of that message and the grace of God as Prof Nwajiuba stepped his feet on the grounds of the University and continued to work with God, even till the moment.

Bishop Ifemene, enthused that Prof. Nwajiuba and his team have achieved so much within the five years, to the extent that despite that he has just one month to bow out of office, he has continued to work relentlessly, resulting in the completion of a new Senate building and particularly a new office for the incoming Vice-Chancellor, in record time. This for him is no doubt, a mark of a true visionary servant leader. He prayed that the almighty God will continue to bless him, his family and all those who work with him diligently and showed the commitment in ensuring that Prof. Nwajiuba recorded huge success. He as well wished him well as he moves on to the next level. Bishop Ifemene also prayed for the incoming Vice-Chancellor, asking God to give whomever it may be, the right vision, right team and the grace needed to deliver on the responsibilities as VC. At the end he sanctified the office to the glory of God.
