From 2021, the OCI Foundation has pledged to collaborate with the Onitsha Branch of the Nigerian Bar Association’s (NBA), in providing free (pro-bono) legal services to Nigerians who cannot afford it. This will be part of the OCI Foundation’s Public and Social Welfare package, which is the third arm of its humanitarian activities, alongside Health and Education. The NBA is the peak body of all legal practitioners in Nigeria.

The announcement was made by the Foundation’s President, Assoc. Prof. Chris Ifediora, during the 2020 NBA annual Bar Week Dinner in Onitsha, Nigeria.

The Foundation also donated a Toyota Corolla Car the NBA, and delivered a free lecture on breast, cervical and prostate cancer preventive strategies to the body. Following a raffle draw, the car was won by Barr Chizoba Vivian ONOCHIE. The car donation is part of the OCI Foundation's quest to support young lawyers that are interested in pro-bono (free) legal cases for indigent Nigerians.

The OCI Foundation is a Nigerian-Australian NGO established in 2016 to “Promote and Advance Health”, “Advance Education”, and “Advance Social & Public Welfare” among the Nigerian populace. It is currently woring to introduce anti-breast and anti-cervical cancer teachings across all the senior secondary schools in Nigeria.
