Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has had his say on new signing Amad Diallo's early introduction to life at the club.

After we announced that Amad Diallo’s transfer from Atalanta to United had been completed, the Ivorian youngster has been training with the first team for the first time.
The manager has been impressed with what he’s seen in a short amount of time.

“Amad has looked really comfortable and he’s settled in really well in training,” Ole told club media.

“It shows how technically adept he is and, of course, we’ll give him time to settle and adjust, but hopefully we can see him on the pitch in not too long. He’s definitely done well in training.”
The question on every Red’s lips is when we will get to see our new no. 19 playing for the first team. When asked whether the 18-year-old would feature for the first team or the Under-23s, Ole delivered the following answer.

“That’s the decision we have to make with the [social] bubbles and all this, they need competitive games and, at the moment, we don’t have any. He will be training [with us] and let’s see when he’ll get his first game-time – if it’s from the bench with us or with the Under-23s, likely to be the Under-23s of course,” the United boss explained.

Incidentally, Neil Wood's side are next in action on Monday night, away to Leicester City, live on MUTV.
The winger has experience of both Serie A and the Champions League but has, understandably, not had too much playing time at first-team level yet. United will not pressure him too early as he is getting used to a new league, Ole has reassured supporters.

“He's an exciting player who will get time,” the United boss said in a separate interview with Norwegian newspaper Dagbladet.

“He's a young player who has really exciting qualities but he needs time to get used to the physical style in England. That speaks for itself when he's 18.”
“We have a fantastic coaching staff which will help him to build a physicality which will suit the Premier League. But he's got all the ingredients to become a very good player, so we'll give him time.

”Let him get time. Whether that's against Liverpool in the league, Liverpool in the FA Cup, this weekend, two weeks, three weeks. We'll see.“
