Ozil has never been ozil since Sanchez left.
Don't you remember when he was being heavily criticized for being lazy and lacking grit,too lackadaisical on the pitch.
The thing with Arsenal now is that the team is lacking depth and quality; every player is being pushed to be defensive to fit into this team.
With this tactic playing ozil is like playing with 10 men.
For ozil to perform he needs a team with depth, good defense,solid mid-field.
Ozil is a defensive liability.
And btw I hope you know that ozils problem is bigger than Arteta, ozil fell out with Arsenal management first over his controversial involvement in politics and then during the lockdown when teams were going broke,ozil was the only Arsenal player that refused to take a pay cut after the team appealed to them.

I can't agree less, but I still give it to him for having such a good PR team. They are doing such a good job at making the neutrals see Ozil as a victimized footballer while keeping his lack of motivation in their blindside.

Very stubborn and unyielding bunch..
They are yet to move on from Arsenal's fairly glorious days of Ozil-Sanchez-Giroud-Walcott.
That was probably the last time Arsenal played good football.
But that time is long gone.
Ozil in his last 2 seasons was a handicap.
They've quickly forgotten how ozil walks on the pitch while the match is on.
Yet they think he'll come back and deliver magic.
