Bruno Fernandes wants to give Manchester United fans some “fun” by helping the club extend their title-winning lead over Liverpool.

Sunday’s eagerly anticipated Anfield tie is between England’s two most successful sides – with United having won a record 20 English top-flight titles to Liverpool’s 19.

United are top of the table, three points above Liverpool in second.

“You don’t want your rivals at the same level as you,” Fernandes said.

The Portuguese midfielder added: “For the fans, the next day, going to talk to their friends who may be Liverpool fans it’ll be much better if they’ve been the winner rather than the loser.

“And it would be a lot more fun with 21 titles and Liverpool still on 19.”

take away his penalties, he still has more goals than all of Liverpool midfielder combined together since he joined the EPL.

the same with all of Chelsea midfielders combined.

you all shout debruyne but you never thought about the clinical attackers who always latch on his passes to score. put debruyne in a utd shirt and let's see if he would be half good with players like lingarrd, martial, Shaw and the deadwoods fernades have been able to revive.

he was not clueless, just tired. and it happens. why didn't you say this in his last two games city where he outshone kdb.

and forget about the penalties he still beat kdb ass down in goals from open play and assists since he joined so don't hide behind that.

all the records kdb set in his first couple of matches Bruno has destroyed.

just give credit where it is due. as more good midfielders join him, he will only become better

Man pls argue with fact. KDB has 3 premier league goals this season 2 game from the penalty spot and he hardly take penalties. The fact Bruno scores penalty shows part of his qualities ask sterling who missed his last 3 spot kicks

No one will try to compare KDB and Bruno . Everyone knows KDB is a better player Ole can’t argue that. But respect Bruno too this guy alone lifted man utd team spirit
