Ondo State Governor, Rotimi Akeredolu has issued a 7-days ultimatum to fulani herdsmen to vacate the state’s forest reserves.

The governor issued the statement on his official Twitter handle, citing security reasons for the ultimatum.

He said the steps were taken at addressing the root cause of kidnapping, and other nefarious activities detailed and documented in security reports in kidnap cases in Ondo State.

Akeredolu also told herdsmen who are willing to go about their businesses legitimately, need to register with appropriate authorities.
