TBH I do not see building house for rent as means of profitable investment unless you live in places like Abuja or Lagos where rent is high or you want to build to sell. Building will naturally tie your money down and may take as long as 20yrs to return your capital while same amount could have been trippled if channeled into another business.

However, there are pros and cons. Building give some level of guarantee to your investment as any other business may flop while you building will remain there.

building hous is investment not business for profit.
its better u build guest house or hotel depending on ur cash

Like i always say, Real Estate in Nigeria Is not profitable, but secured. It will take you 20 years and above to break even, while with most businesses you can break even within months or a little above a year
Buying land for farm cultivation is far more profitable than commercial use
