You can say that again, they have enough yet want to keep milking the ones meant for development.

That's how we run 80% recurrent budget in a supposed under developed nation

I remember the same shagari has a son that was minister recently and contested for governorship yet he wants freebies to pay light bill
Shagari family can never be feeble.
All his children r working....
These people just wants to be spoonfed till they die.

President Shagari died in December 2018.

That puts his monthly electricity bill at 250,000 naira or close to 10,000 naira per day -- for a house that doesn't get 24-hour electricity.

How much does it cost to run a generator for a day?

Buhari can do well by footing the bills. At least, he is the reason Shagari never completed his presidency.

It's very possible there was some outstanding before the man died in Dec2018

6m can possibly be accumulated in 2yrs especially in the North if the building is a factory/company or business premises

So children of Shehu Shagari no fit pay NEPA bills?

Buhari why?

But on a serious note, I do not blame the electricity company because they are a private organization and when they are to pay tax, no one would listen to them if they complain that Shehu Shagari family didn't pay bills.

But don't the family have a business they own? All things being equal, they should own chains of businesses that they should be able to pay 6 million naira without blinking an eye.

For goodness sake it's their father who was president and not them. The man is dead now, they should be able to handle their sh*t.

Same thing is happening to the family of former Vice President Alex Ekwueme. Nobody send them again.
When I saw the headline I didn't remember that Shagari had passed on... Until I read the main story.

Nigeria is a joke. Why is this even news? The LATE Shagari's personal house was disconnected for defaulting on electricity bills, and then? So his children and generation unborn should enjoy freebies ad infinitum just because the man was once president of Nigeria?

Na their way, they don't like to pay anything, all they love is free of charge. That is why they prefer to live in people's farmland by force rather than renting a decent place.Even in cities, they prefer living in slumps.
