Shagari was the last Patriot!
Large scale corruption in Nigeria started in 1985 when IBB came into power. from then onward till this very government of PMB is a cesspool of large scale fraud against the Nigeria People.

Leaders from 1960 to 1985 were all Patriots...none acquired any form of wealth.

Leaders who ruled within this period and came back to rule after 1985 were no longer Patriots as they were now corrupted as saw the need to steal public funds for money they assume is power, if you have loads of it, you can control whoever you want to control. the likes of Obasanjo and Buhari who came back to rule or govern are not the same people they were in the first period.

Actually large scale corruption started in the first republic

Shagaris regime was notable for several corruption scandals

Even if he was the son of a neighbour, does that justify the inability of Shagari's children to pay the electricity bills of their late father?
I'm not justifying anything, I just point out an error on the post by calling Mukhtar Shagari the son of late president Shahu Shagari.

6m as his accumulated bills over the years or what? Because I don't understand how his bill will be 6m when his house isn't a manufacturing company.

They also disconnected Senator Wamakko residence in Sokoto, he is owing KEDCO 17 millions.

From the info gathered the Shagari's debt was from just after his death to January 2021.

Sokoto state government should be blamed

Read the write up above , it's solely responsibility of FG not state Govt.
Why will state govt use its meager resources to that effect
