Amanda Gorman is an African American poet and activist who was born in 1998. The young lady who read sociology at Harvard University began writing at a tender age and has bagged many awards. In 2014, she was named the first Youth Poet Laureate of Los Angeles at the age of 16years; three years later, she became the country's first National Youth Poet Laureate.
