Pan Yoruba socio-political organisation, Afenifere has lambasted the Arewa Consultative Forum (ACF) over what it described as its 'hypocritical tears' over recent developments in Ibarapa Local Government area of Oyo state. The ACF had on Friday called on the federal government and South West governors to stop the current drift in the region against the Fulanis in order to avert social upheaval in the country. According to ACF, government must be proactive and stop history from repeating itself, referring to events that led to the Nigerian Civil war. But Afenifere in a statement by Yinka Odumakin, its National Publicity Secretary titled ' ACF Hypocritical Tears' said the ACF cannot threaten the Yorubas with war. "The attention of Afenifere has been drawn to the hypocritical tears of Arewa Consultative Forum(ACF) over clashes in Ibarapa Local Government Area of Oyo state occasioned by the inimical activities of Fulani herdsmen against indigenous Yoruba people". "While we have gone to a great length to sue for peace and have appealed to our pained people to be law abiding even with the daily provocations of the Fulani and harrasment of our people, we frown at the very arrogant and insulting ACF statement, especially their reference to the event of 1966". "We must make it clear to them that they cannot threaten us with a war at this stage as we will not provoke war but never are we going to run for anybody on our land". "We are miffed that a body like ACF that has never shown any remorse over the killing of our people can open their mouths anyhow now because there are consequences for the irresponsible actions of their people". "We advise them to call their criminals to order and not expect our people to sheepishly wait to be killed by those who value cow lives more than human beings". I have been reading some psychopathic 'Yoruba' comments regarding this incident and I just laugh... I have also noticed how they label every dissenter 'a Fulani' or 'Hausa slave' - I was also called 'Fulani' and then 'Hausa slave' by same persons for daring to share my own opinion... I laugh at the hypocritical Yorubas cos when the kasala wey them dey run cast, e go do them like film... Once the war starts, my brother, na only una go fight because me and my people go mind our business.. Even if we go side any party at all, it would be Nigeria cos it's obvious the Yorubas expelling and persecuting Northerners(not only Fulanis) are the same people calling for Oduduwa Republic, which makes it obvious they're intentionally causing crisis to further their own selfish interests.. They sponsored the EndSars protests... It failed woefully. They attempted a second one which was resisted by well-meaning Nigerians. Now they are going about extrajudicially evicting people from their home in gross violation of the constitution.. Maiming, looting and dismembering hapless civilians... But we are watching.. If they think we will side them, then they've got another think coming... Cos Nigeria is my country; my allegiance is to Nigeria and I am ready to die for Nigeria. God bless Nigeria.
