In a country where the enforcement of laws is near 0%! No way! The only reason why daily killings in Nigeria is still relatively low compared to USA is due to the fact that possession of fire arms is illegal. Our institutions are weak, legalising fire arms will bring more killings and destruction than the phantom protection you thought it would give

Fulanis are not the only ones bearing illegal arms. Illegal arms in Rivers or Bayelsa state alone are more than the ones you can find in the entire south west! While there are criminals among them, most of them carry illegal arms to fight off cattle rustlers who also carry sophisticated fire arms and wouldn't hesitate to kill them and rustle their cattle.
Everyone who carries fire arms in Nigeria knows that it's a huge risk and that's good for our society. You don't want the kind of statistics coming from the USA every year as far as gun related violence is concerned
